Case Study: Olympic Champion - Corp. Sponsor

Client: Vail Resorts                                        Date: March, 2010

 

Working with World Champion and soon to be Olympic Gold medalist skier Lindsey Vonn. Jack was tasked with capturing the vibrance and beauty of this remarkable athlete for national and international advertising and sponsorship campaigns. Known for his ability to engage and entertain, Jack was able to coordinate and manage a professional studio production including five videographers, three art directors, make-up and wardrobe specialists. In the end legacy images were created which have graced countless covers and ads during Lindsey's quest for , and subsequent Olympic gold medal victory.

                    
        



      Case Study : Resort branding imaging campaign - VAIL

CLIENT: HORTON LANTZ and LOW Advertising Agency (www.hl2.com)
Horton Lantz and Low was an advertising agency based in Seattle, WA with over 15 years’ experience in creating award winning design, sound strategy, and impactful advertising campaigns.

CHALLENGE
To create a national advertising campaign for built around imagery of North America's largest mountain resort to promote the resort and drive vacation visits. Jack’s biggest challenge in achieving this goal was to map out the concept and logistically coordinate image and perspectives. He had to depict to the vast size of the resort while illustrating the approachable lifestyle available within the resort.


      
 
METHOD
This seven-day assignment included coordinating the helicopter, professional athletes, video and lighting crews, and a team of photography professionals to shoot, process and finalize the images.

RESULTS
The resort experienced a significant increase in annual visitors and 15% boost in revenue through imagery used over several marketing vehicles, including vertical ads, internet marketing, magazines, direct and email marketing techniques, promotions materials, and media materials. The imagery was core to the success of this advertising campaign and have won several awards within the photography, advertising, and travel/tourism industries.

Case Study: MMG Advertising - State of Colorado Int'l ads


Client: MMG Advertising for Colorado Tourism
MMG is one of the world's leading advertising and creativie agancies. Based out of Kansas City, MO. The agency was charged with developing a comprehensive campaign to draw Winter visitors to the state to increase awareness of its natural and recreational resources.

We were tasked with providing a signature and iconic photograph campaign for marketing and advertising materials to the client, MMG.



    




   


    

   Course of Action
MMG identified the demographic of the target audeinces for the state. These were determined through reserch to be active families with young and teen age children as well as affluent and athletic male businessmen in their 30's and 40's.Working alongside their creative team we developed a series of three action oriented images to exemplify the perfect Colorado Winter vacation.

Results
State revenues and booking to Winter resorts has continued to increase 15% year over year. In the troubled economy of the 2010 - 2011 seasons, this was nothing less than amazing. Much of the success was attributed to the appeal of the images to their target audience.

Below are three of the images that have appeared on the web and in magazine veritcal ads raching over 20 million prospective visitors. The campaign was so successful that it has been extended another year and to international audiences.
